Ross County Ohio local churches- Brookside Church of Chillicothe and Freedom Ministries of Frankfort, Launch a New Nonprofit to Reach Out to Single Parent Families in Transition and Invite Other Churches to Join Build A Home, Inc.
From a moving of the Holy Spirit and a passion for sharing the love and hope of Jesus Christ, Brookside church has rallied together to ‘do something’ about the homelessness issues in our community. The focus of this new nonprofit is single parent families as a result of recognizing a gap in the offering of services and assistance for that segment of society.
Our board is comprised of professionals in the banking, medical, business, health and human services fields as well as a pastoral advisor.

Clients are taught practical job readiness skills by human resources and business professionals as part of their Steps to Success program.

Physical health is a vital component of moving forward during a period of transition. Licensed nutritionists provide practical health and nutrition information and training to equip clients to plan and make balanced healthy meals.
We provide housing for a period of six months for the clients and their children while they save for a home of their.
Raising children is a challenging and rewarding blessing in life. When single parents are faced with the difficult situation of homelessness or transition, it can cause extreme stress for them and their children. BAH provides Biblical parenting classes to help them have the tools to cope and strive as parents.
Money management is a complicated task, but is easier through proper money management training. Build A Home partners with a local bank that is certified in providing Financial Literacy education.
The foundation of all that Build A Home does is deeply rooted in discipleship with the goal of making disciples that make disciples. The spiritual condition of each client is paramount to every activity and decision that we make as an organization.
